來自與 Slint 和 Squirrel Bait 相同的音樂圈子，可想而知的那些熟悉的另類搖滾聲音也出現在這組樂團裡；樂團在 1992 年組成，只發行過這張唯一的專輯就解散，但成員們各自在獨立搖滾圈留下了重要事件，像組織了 June of 44、The Sonora Pine 以及 The Shipping News，回過頭看這組樂團簡直是另類搖滾明星隊。


Emerging from the same circle of musicians that spawned Squirrel Bait and Slint, Rodan formed in 1992 out of a failed high school rap project. Quarterstick released Rusty, the bands first and only full-length in 1994. the band broke up at the end of the year, aiding their growing cult following.

Jason went on to form Rachels, Jeff started June of 44, and Tara began a solo career after recording with Retsin, and The Sonora Pine. Jason and Jeff later reunited in The Shipping News. Rodan was Quartersticks indie rock super group that spawned numerous other intriguing projects.
