來自田納西的薩克斯風女傑Matana Roberts有濃厚的南方草根色彩，揉合藍調、福音、靈魂等黑人音樂元素，嗓音情感飽滿，塵土味十足。甫在加拿大音樂廠牌Constellation發行的續章《Coin Coin Chapter Two: Mississippi Moonchile》敘事上從Matana祖母的成長故事觀看美國經濟大蕭條、二戰及黑人爭取公民權的血淚過往。
