21世紀最成功新變種搖滾天團Linkin Park已故主唱Chester Bennington打造另翼樂團Dead By Sunrise，其中成員Ryan Shuck及Amir Derakh從工業金屬大團Orgy轉投效過來。無論是專輯名稱或是團名誕生，都是來自Chester對此計畫不受限的坦率，Dead By Sunrise其實就如同其字面意義一樣，反映陷入低潮的Chester，不知自己是否還能再看得見明日太陽的心情，而專輯名稱《Out Of Ashes》就好像在譬喻他親手燒毀了一棟房子之後，希望又能再造的企盼。

Dead By Sunrise首張專輯《Out Of Ashes》，空降全美流行榜第29名，全程在洛杉磯錄製，由榮獲兩屆葛萊美獎提名的知名製作人Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance、Hoobastank、Crazy Town)精心打造。《Out Of Ashes》赤裸裸剖開Chester經歷過的高低潮，還有各種痛苦、喜悅、矛盾…等感受，他毫無保留地探索自我皮肉之下的鬼神，帶來12首正邪心魔交戰的搖滾樂章，跟著黑暗曙光一同覺醒吧！

Dead By Sunrise is a band fronted by Linkin Parks Chester Bennington and included Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh from Orgy. Their only album, Out of Ashes, was released in 2009 on CD and digital, and a very limited vinyl pressing in Europe.
This is the first vinyl release in North America, pressed for Record Store Day on Black Ice vinyl. The original album has been expanded to include the track "Morning After", previously a bonus track on the Japanese CD. Also included are five unreleased acoustic songs performed in Las Vegas.
